Cake Batter Puppy Chow

Cake Batter Puppy Chow Recipe! (For Humans.)

Makes 6 cups

Give everyone’s favorite party classic a delightful cake batter twist. Perfect for a birthday party! And since it’s fun to make, you can get the birthday guests in on the action!

Ingredients

  • 12
    ounces white chocolate chips/bark

  • ½

    cup powdered sugar

  • 1 ½

    cups yellow cake mix

  • 2-3

    tbsp colored sprinkles

  • 6

    cups rice square cereal
  •   

    Gallon size Ziploc® brand bag

Directions

    Combine cake mix and powdered sugar in a small bowl and set aside.

    Spread parchment paper over a cookie sheet and set aside.

    Measure out the 6 cups of cereal into a gallon size Ziploc® brand bag.

    Melt chocolate in a large bowl. You can use a double boiler or your microwave at 50%. Stir every ten minutes until you reach a creamy consistency. You can also add butter to thin out the mixture.

    Drizzle the chocolate all over cereal and gently shake the cereal to coat each piece.

    Once cereal is completely coated in white chocolate, quickly add the sprinkles and shake shake shake to combine.

    Gradually pour the cake/sugar mixture on top and shake some more to coat each piece.

    Spread puppy chow out on parchment paper and let cool.

    Serve in a large bowl…or store in the same gallon size Ziploc® brand bag (to eat up later).
