Chocolate and Lavender Waffles

The holidays can get pretty hectic, but that doesn’t mean you need to get stressed about breakfast. Whip up waffles ahead of time, freeze or refrigerate them, and wake up to the perfect “canvas” upon which to get creative. Here is an easy way to perk up basic waffles that will have your friends and family asking for more. Now, who’s hungry for some breakfast?

Ingredients

  •

    waffles

  •

    chocolate hazelnut spread

  •
whipped cream (store bought or homemade)
  •
    edible lavender

Directions

  • 1 To start, whip up a batch of waffles. Frozen waffles are fine too! If you make waffles ahead of time, I suggest freezing them in a Ziploc® brand bag. To defrost them, place the frozen waffles on the middle oven rack and bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

This one is super easy and super delicious: smear on a bit of chocolate hazelnut spread and top with a dollop of whipped cream. Then, sprinkle on a pinch of edible lavender. No need for syrup!
