Tropical Green Smoothie

Smoothies are a great, tasty way to get your vegetables. There’s nothing quite like taking a sip of something so vibrant and healthfully green only to discover fruity, surprising sweetness. Here, spinach and kale meld beautifully with freshly frozen tropical fruits and chia seeds for an extra healthy topping. Bonus: by using frozen fruit instead of ice, this smoothie is great for prepping ahead of time in a Ziploc® brand freezer bag to whip up whenever you need a quick healthy meal or snack!

    cup of pineapple, diced

  • ½
    frozen mango, sliced
  • ½

    cup of spinach

  • ½

    cup of dino kale

  • 1

    cup of coconut milk


Make ahead:

  • 1 Cut pineapple and mango, place in Ziploc® brand freezer bag and freeze until needed, at least four hours.

Ready to eat:

  • 1 Remove frozen fruit five minutes before blending. Add to blender with greens and process, thin with coconut milk. Pour into a glass and top with chia seeds.
