I Scream, You Scream, Here's How To Make Ice Cream!

Sure, it’s cold outside. But in the spirit of having some fun this season, there’s never a bad time for ice cream! Let everyone in the family try out a different combination. We love using peppermint dust, but try experimenting with cookie pieces, frosting, cereal—the sky’s the limit.

Ingredients

    Ice cubes
  • 1
    cup half and half
  • ½
    cup rock salt
  • 2
    T sugar
  • ½
    tsp vanilla extract
  •   

Directions

  • 1 Combine sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in a quart-sized Ziploc® brand holiday bag and seal. 
  • 2 Place the salt and ice cubes in a gallon-sized Ziploc® brand bag and place the quart-sized Ziploc® brand holiday bag inside. Seal tightly and shake until the mixture hardens.
