Chipotle Turkey Sliders

These protein-packed sliders can be customized with an array of yummy toppings (did someone say sriracha?) plus, they’ll stay perfectly fresh for lunch. Just pack everything up in separate Ziploc® containers and assemble your masterpiece when you’re ready to eat.

    pound ground turkey
  • 2

    tbsp chopped cilantro
  • 2

    cloves garlic, minced
  • ½
    tsp chipotle powder
  • 2

    tsp chili powder
  • 1

    tsp salt
  •   
    Freshly ground pepper
  •   
    Extra virgin olive oil
  • 6

    slider buns, toasted
  • Toppings

  • 1

    cup mayonnaise
  • 2

    tsp sriracha
  • 2

    ripe avocado, diced
  • 1

    small red onion, sliced thin
  •   
    Sprouts (or baby lettuce)

Directions

  • 1 Mix together the ground turkey, cilantro, garlic, chipotle powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
  • 2 Brush a heavy bottomed pan or grill pan with oil and heat over medium high. Form the mixture into 2 to 3-inch patties. Grill the patties, flip and cook until cooked through, about 7 minutes on each side. Remove the patties from the pan.
  • 3 To make the spicy mayo, whisk together the mayonnaise and sriracha.
  • 4 To serve, portion a serving of the sliders, spicy mayonnaise, avocado, onions, and sprouts on a bun and add toppings. 

Tip

Nest Ziploc® Extra Small containers inside of a Large Rectangle container to create a DIY bento box for transporting your lunch. Pack toppings and mayo separately in the Extra Small containers.
