Ingredients

  • 1
    pound dark chocolate chips
  • 1
    pound milk chocolate chips
  • ¼

    tsp peppermint extract

  • 6
    candy canes

Directions

  • 1 Prepare an 11” x 17” baking sheet with a piece of parchment paper cut to size.
  • 2 Pour the dark chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir and microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Using a spatula, pour the chocolate evenly onto the parchment paper. Place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes until hardened.
  • 3 While the dark chocolate is setting, place the candy canes in a large Ziploc® brand bag. Using a hammer or a mallet, crush the candy canes into pieces. Set aside until needed.
  • 4 Place the white chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir and microwave for 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Add peppermint extract and stir. Using a spatula, pour the chocolate evenly onto the dark chocolate. Immediately sprinkle the candy cane pieces over the white chocolate and gently press them in with your fingers. Place the pan back in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.
  • 5 Once the bark has hardened, remove it from the refrigerator and break it into large pieces with your hands or a mallet. Serve or give as a gift in a Limited Edition Ziploc® brand Holiday Storage Bag!
